Paz Campos Trigo was born on January 2, 1976 in Seville, which is the capital city of Andalusia, in the South of Spain. Paz was born in a famous district called Triana, where there were poets, artists and which is well known for the presence of bullfighters and folkloric singer.

Infact, Paz's father was a bullfighter, while her sister is a flamenco dancer and a singer.

When she was young, Paz wanted to become an athlete and then a politician, but when, at the age of 15, she went to the theatre to see "La Casa de Benarda Alba" by Federico Garcia Lorca, she decided to dedicate herself to become an actress.

She started by founding a thatrical company in her high school Santa Ana in which she directed "La Bella Dorotea" by Miguel Mihura. When she was finishing the school she was accepted at the prestigious Centro Andaluz de Teatro.

It is during these years that she studied for two years journalism. Anyway she knew that her dream was to become an actress. In the 1995 she moved to Madrid, where she had the possibility to act in a tv-series called "Menudo es mi Padre", a Globomedia production, that gave her another role in "Mas que Amigos".

In the 1998 she appeared several times in "Companeros" and then in 1999 she was casted in the film, Zapping, by Juan Manuel Chumilla. And, in the same year, she started playing Laura in '7 Vidas', a popular sitcom inspired by the wildly triumphant U.S. television series, Friends.

It's the 2001 year that gave her the possibility to be know all ove the world when director Julio Mendem proposed to her the laed role in "Lucia y el Sexo", where she demonstrated her goodness as an actress and that year she was awarded by the Goya as best new actress.

After other successful films, such as 'Hable con ella' and Vicente Aranda’s 'Carmen', Paz appeared in 2005 movie "Spanglish", a brilliant comedy with Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni. In the last few years the actress acted in a lot of movies, such as "10 Items or Less" (2006), "Fade to Black" (2006), "Teresa,Death and Life" (2007) and "La masseria delle allodole" aka "The Lark Farm" (2007).

We will see her acting soon in "The Spirit", directed by Frank Miller (2009), "The Six Wives of Henry Lefay" (2008), "The Human Contract", directed by Jada Pinkett Smith (2008), and the psycological thriller "Not Forgotten", (2009).
